Made by people
who still play

Kumpoo exists because the frames we wanted to play with were either priced for sponsored professionals or built to a price that showed on court. We decided to make the one in between.

The idea

One frame, argued about for a year

The first racket took eleven prototypes. Everyone who tested it had an opinion about the throat, and most of them were right. That argument became the process: build it, play it, change it, play it again.

We still work that way. No frame reaches the catalogue until the players testing it can tell you what changed between versions without being told.

How we build

The road
so far

From a single frame tested in one sports hall to a line sold across three continents.

YEAR ONE

The first frame

A head-heavy prototype built for one player who kept breaking cheaper rackets. Eleven revisions later it became the Power Control 520.

YEAR THREE

Four series, one philosophy

Power, Velocity, Aeroblade and Vanguard split the line by playing style rather than by price bracket — a decision that still shapes every release.

YEAR SIX

The hexagon shaft

The inverted hexagonal cone at the T-joint, patented and still in the line: quicker out of the flex point, and 7.5% less deformation under load than a round shaft.

TODAY

34 countries

Seventeen frames, a growing stockist network, and a support line answered by people who can actually tell you what tension to string at.

How a Kumpoo
gets made

Four stages between a carbon sheet and a strung racket in a bag.

01

Lay-up

Carbon sheets are cut and laid at the fibre angles specified for that series, then wrapped around an inflatable core.

02

Cure

The frame is pressure-cured in a heated mould. Temperature and hold time set the final stiffness as much as the material does.

03

Balance

Every frame is weighed and its balance point measured. Frames outside tolerance for their series do not get a paint job.

04

Finish

Paint, grommets, grip and cover. Batch samples are strung to the rated maximum and held for 48 hours before the batch ships.

Team Kumpoo

We back players, not just winners

Our sponsorship programme runs from club level to national tour. If you compete regularly, coach a junior squad, or run a club that needs equipment, there is a tier for you.

  • Club tier — discounted frames and stringing for registered clubs
  • Junior tier — equipment support for players under 18 in county squads
  • Tour tier — full equipment, stringing and travel support

Play something built by players

Seventeen frames, five series, one idea: a racket should disappear in your hand and leave you thinking about the shuttle.
