Badminton engineering

Every
millisecond
counts

Kumpoo builds rackets for the half-second between a lift and a smash. Carbon frames, tuned shafts and balance points chosen for one thing: getting your racket head to the shuttle before your opponent expects it.

Built into
every frame

Four engineering decisions that show up in how the racket feels on the third shot of a long rally, not just on the spec sheet.

01

Hexagon shaft

An inverted hexagonal cone at the T-joint pulls the flex point forward for a quicker rebound, and cuts deformation under load by 7.5% against a round shaft.

02

Pliers front cap

A full-carbon cap that closes on the shaft rather than sleeving over it: 25% more contact area, 40% better anti-torsion.

03

Shock absorption

Polyurethane injected into the frame sets as a sponge inside the carbon, keeping the sting of contact out of the forearm.

04

Super fine shaft

Shafts step down through 6.6, 6.5, 6.3 and 6.1 mm — less air to push through the swing, and a shaft that loads and returns faster.

Tested, not simulated

Every frame is played before it is sold

Prototypes go to club players and coaches before they reach a catalogue. A frame only ships when the people hitting with it can describe what changed — and want to keep the racket.

  • Three prototype rounds minimum per frame
  • Fatigue testing to 30 lb string tension
  • Balance and weight checked at each production batch
  • Two-year warranty against frame defects
